Namasam Platform Honor Code

The Namasam platform is committed to fostering an environment of integrity and respect. We expect all users to adhere to the highest standards of academic honesty and ethical behavior when engaging with learning materials hosted on the platform. This document outlines the expectations and consequences regarding misconduct to maintain the integrity of the learning experience on the Namasam platform.
Preamble
All learners utilizing the Namasam platform are required to uphold the principles outlined in this Honor Code, which are designed to safeguard the quality of the educational experience and the value of the credentials earned through the platform. This involves complying not only with the terms set forth herein but also with other pertinent policies, codes of conduct, and academic regulations established by the Namasam platform or any affiliated institutions.
Scope and Definitions
Work within a Namasam Activity
This encompasses all actions and interactions occurring on the Namasam platform, including but not limited to:
Logging into the platform
Participating in exams, quizzes, and peer reviews
Contributing to discussion boards
Undertaking guided projects and labs
Engaging in any off-platform activities that relate to coursework on the Namasam platform
Unauthorized Activities
These refer to actions that breach the Namasam’s Terms of Use or established course/platform policies, illegal activities, or actions that violate expected standards of integrity. Such activities are deemed unauthorized and are not condoned by the platform.
Policy on Academic Misconduct
Academic misconduct undermines the authenticity of learners' efforts and the value of credentials issued by the Namasam platform. Such behavior includes any attempts to sidestep the intended learning experience, as outlined in course policies or the syllabus, or misrepresenting authorship or completion conditions of course activities. Below, we detail the most prevalent forms of academic misconduct, although this is not an exhaustive list.
Violations
1. Plagiarism
Plagiarism is the act of copying or using another person’s work, ideas, or materials without proper attribution. This includes:
Directly copying text or other materials without citation
Allowing another individual to alter or revise your work and then submitting it as your own
Using automated tools to paraphrase, translate, or modify content without crediting the original source
Submitting previously submitted work (self-plagiarism) without proper disclosure and permission
2. Use of Unauthorized Materials
Learners are prohibited from using unauthorized materials, electronic resources, or AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT or similar software) during any Namasam activity, except when explicitly allowed.
3. Unauthorized Collaboration
Collaborating with others on assignments or assessments without explicit permission constitutes unauthorized collaboration.
4. Contract Cheating
Engaging in actions where another individual is paid or otherwise compensated to create work for submission under your name is considered contract cheating.
5. Impersonation
Misrepresenting the authorship of submitted work, including completing work for another user or allowing another user to complete work on your behalf, constitutes impersonation.
6. Unauthorized Sharing of Resources
Sharing information or solutions concerning assignments, quizzes, or other assessments with others, unless explicitly permitted, is prohibited. This includes sharing solutions created by you, other learners, course staff, or obtained from external sources.
7. Fraud
Fraud involves any deceit about the authorship or the conditions of completion of an activity on Namasam, or falsifying evidence in support of mitigating circumstances claims.
8. Other Violations
Any other actions that confer an unfair advantage or attempt to dishonestly influence your or others' results within Namasam activities are prohibited.
Consequences of Violations
Non-degree Products
Consequences for violations will be determined by Namasam, considering the nature and severity of the misconduct, the importance of the assessment, and the user's history. No refunds will be granted in case of any sanctions imposed for such violations. Namasam and its partners reserve the right to judge instances of Honor Code violations and to decide the appropriate actions to be taken.
Degree Products
For Degree, Magister, Philosophy Doctor - PhD, Doctor, and University Certificate Programs, the determination of consequences lies solely with the content provider.
